Volunteer with NeKaMo Camp this Summer!
Do you want to add a week or two of adventure to your summer? Do you crave a break from the distractions of everyday life? Do you love hearing the sounds of birds in the morning or having uninterrupted, intentional time to spend in God’s Word and prayer with fellow believers? All of these things (and more!) are wonderful pieces of the staff experience at NeKaMo Camp.
Our volunteer staff includes men and women of all ages and stages in life – from post-high school to grandparents! This unique variety provides opportunities for rich mentorship with campers and lifelong friendships among staff members.
The following roles are filled each summer:
- Counselors (for cabin groups 2nd-4th, 5-7th, 8-9th, 10-12th grade)
- Nurses
- Cooks & assistant cooks
- Lifeguards
- Special Teams
- Other volunteers
Staff at NeKaMo Camp are required to submit an application and pastoral reference and sign in agreement with the Statement of Faith (see “Core Beliefs”).
Training:
The staff at NeKaMo Camp receives training in camp philosophy and core values, presenting the Gospel, leading Bible studies, conflict management, supervising campers, fire building, and more. The staff application lists more information on training (dates/times, etc.).
